Job Overview
The Brand Communications Manager is responsible for the overall brand communication strategy and execution for KINTO Europe. They will work as part of a team to grow the brand awareness and sales of KINTO throughout the European market. This role has a strong e-commerce and digital marketing focus. The Brand Communications Manager is responsible for creating engaging content on various media platforms as well as managing the website and online sales for the business. Both strategic thinking and hands on implementation will be required. Collaboration with external partners will be important to supplement internal resources and achieve high quality results. This position has no direct reports. This is a full time position and is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement marketing communication strategy and plan
- Manage KINTO website and online shop to accelerate sales growth
- Create engaging digital communication content including, but not limited to, the following:
- Newsletters
- Plan and create B2C and B2B newsletters
- Devise and implement measures to increase subscribers
- Create and implement one-to-one marketing campaigns
- Track newsletter performance
- Journal Articles
- Identify potential partners or customers to be featured in the JOURNAL section
- Work with partners and customers to get photos and information for article
- Write journal article content
- Social Media
- Plan and create posts on Instagram & Facebook
- Plan and create KINTO Stories
- Select and edit images and graphics for social media posts
- Respond to inquiries received through Instagram/Facebook
- Like or comment on posts and stories featuring KINTO
- Share stories & posts in line with KINTO branding
- Track social media performance
- Website Content
- Proofread translations
- Upload new products to website
- Customize website theme using the Shopify dashboard or extended apps
- Support the implementation of new features and applications
- Find and correct minor errors and typos on the website
- Write compelling copy across all communication channels, including newsletters, journal articles, social media posts, digital advertisements, SEO writing, and website content
- Identify trends and insights, as well as new or more effective ways to connect with KINTO followers and to reach a wider audience
- Seek out and manage the work of external marketing agencies and partners to obtain outside expertise and to be efficient with limited internal resources
- Other responsibilities as needed
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of brand marketing, digital communications, and e-commerce experience
- Experience in branding strategies and plan creation
- Capabilities to find external marketing partners and work with them effectively
- Strong writing skills with understanding of how to write in a brand’s voice and tone, and follows the brand communication style
- Good sense of design and creativity for creating appropriate content for KINTO brand
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
- Interested in working in a small team environment and taking on a variety of responsibilities as needed
- Interested in working with people of different cultures and languages
- Skilled in the use of digital marketing and creative applications such as Shopify, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- English language proficiency required; proficiency in German is beneficial
